 My Neighbor Totoro

My choice of Hayao Miyazaki's film is My Neighbor Totoro. Of all the movies I have seen, this is probably the one I have seen the most. In brief, it is a story about Mei and Satsuki's journey with Totoro, a creature I have never seen before. The setting where only children can see Totoro and the scenes where they hold onto Totoro and fly through the air made me believe that Totoro actually existed when I was a little girl. This is one of Hayao Miyazaki's best-known works, and I highly recommend that you see it.

Avengers Endgame

Avengers Endgame was released in 2019. It was directed by Joss Whedon and starred Robert Downey Jr. and Steve Rogers. It won the Academy Awards for Visual Effects. Avengers Endgame was the highest grossing film of 2019. It grossed over 2.798 billion.

This action epic is the fourth and final chapter in the Avengers series, which brings together the heroes from Marvel comics film, including Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-Man. The film depicts what happens to the memories of the Avengers team after they face their most powerful enemy, Thanos, and are on the verge of total annihilation. In a world where half of all life has disappeared, all Marvel heroes gather to fight Thanos for the future.

What makes this season different from other Avengers productions is that it is really the last one, so there are many battle scenes and emotional expressions of each　hero. There is a scene of loss because Thanos has taken away their loved ones. It is interesting to see how the heroes rise up from that. The proof of the characters lives and friendships that the actors have built up over the years can be seen in this productions. 

Alfonso Cuaron

Gravity

I chose the director Alfonso Cuaron and I watched the trailer Gravity. I want to watch the whole movie because I had a dream of going to space when I was a little boy. I am very interested in the feeling of life and scenery in space. From the trailer, this movie doesn't seem to have such a happy atmosphere, but I chose it because I thought it would make me feel like going to space, even if only a little.

Quentin Tarantino Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction

I have never seen this movie, but I chose it because I was interested in it in class. Upon researching, I found that the movie has various roles in it, including gangsters, robbers, and hitmen, each with their own story to tell. I don't think I've ever seen so many bad guys in one movie. I use Netflix, but this movie was not available, so I will use other distribution services or rent a DVD to watch it.

Christopher Nolan INCEPTION

INCEPTION

I felt that director Christopher Nolan has many famous and popular movies. I have seen Batman and Memento, but I had never seen the movie Inception, which was released in 2010, so it is not a very new movie, but I personally like science fiction movies, so I wanted to see it. I was also curious to see how Japanese actor Ken Watanabe would perform in the movie.

Stanley Kubrick The Shining

I have never seen a single Stanley Kubrick movie, the first being "The Shining" which I saw in class. I saw the trailer for this movie and it looked very scary, even though it was a horror movie shown a long time ago. I was curious to see this movie after seeing the trailer.

alfred hitchcock psycho

I am not familiar with director Alfred Hitchcock and have never seen this film. I chose this film because I saw the OFFICIAL trailer for the class and was curious about it, but I felt it was a very old film. I've never seen it, so I don't know much about it, but the atmosphere of the images and the music gave me a sense of fear. I've seen a number of TRAILERs, but this one caught my attention and I wanted to see it.
